Since its establishment in 1970, the Office of Dental Health (ODH) has been dedicated to improving the oral health of all residents. Through continuous assessment, strategic planning, and community-based programs, we work to ensure that every child and adult has access to quality dental care. Our framework enables effective coordination between healthcare providers, schools, and families to promote lifelong healthy smiles. By leveraging data-driven insights and evidence-based practices, we simulate positive health outcomes and address disparities in oral health care across Alameda County.<\/p>\n

Mission:<\/h2>\n

The Office of Dental Health supports efforts to improve the oral health of Alameda County residents by partnering with the community to assess oral health status and resources and to assure access to community-based services and oral health education. We actively engage in policy development that incorporates evidence-based dental disease prevention and promotes oral health equity.<\/p>\n
