The Parent Trap gave Linsday her first breakout role(s). At just 12 years old, she played the cutest twins, Hallie Parker and Annie James, who were separated by their parents when they decided to split up, and upon meeting, try to get them back together. She got to show off her comedic acting chops and ability to play a variety of characters (two separate twins) literally back-to-back.

Just four years after her breakout role, Lindsay was back at it, starring as Lexy Gold in Get a Clue. The wealthy and v. fashionable student loves to get all the tea for her school paper, but finds herself more involved in figuring things out and solving mysteries when one of her teachers goes missing.

Starring in another remake (the original Freaky Friday came out in 1976), she starred alongside Jamie Lee Curtis to play her daughter, the rebellious teenager, Anna Coleman. Their two personalities clash quite a bit, but things change when they mysteriously change bodies and have to experience life from the other’s perspective.

Lindsay Lohan will forever be the teenage drama queen of my dreams. In this film, she plays Mary Elizabeth Cep, a teen living in New York City who wants to become a famous stage actress. But she’s totally thrown off when her parents decide to move to suburban New Jersey. Staying true to herself, she makes her new goal to become the most popular girl at school, but it lands her in hot water with the petty girl, Carla Santini, played by the one and only Megan Fox.

Like I said, Lindsay got to star in one of the most quotable movies of all time at age 18. No one can forget the foursome of the Plastics, which Lindsay’s character, Cady Heron, naively got involved in as the new girl in school. When she begins to become negatively influenced by these—to put it literally—mean girls, she forgets who she is and her world turns upside down.

The Herbie movies got yet another sequel and Lindsay Lohan was at the forefront of it. Her character Maggie Peyton dreams of becoming a NASCAR driver, but her dad prefers her to take a safer sports broadcasting job instead. Her dad takes her to a junkyard to pick out a car, and she chooses an old Volkswagen Beetle. The rest is history.

In this classic, Lindsay is Ashley Albright, the luckiest woman in the world, who turns extremely unlucky when she kisses a dude, Jake Hardin, played by my number one Chris, Chris Pine. She realizes that their kiss exchanged their luck.

Here, Lindsay plays another rebellious teen. (I love to see it!) Rachel Wilcox is disobedient and unmanageable to her mother, played by Felicity Huffman. The final straw was Rachel crashing a car, after which, her mother sends her to live with her grandmother Georgia, played by Jane Fonda, in Idaho. There, she has to learn how to live under Georgia’s strict rules.

Lindsay finally gets into the thriller and horror comedy when she plays Aubrey Fleming in I Know Who Killed Me. She becomes the victim of a kidnapping, and once she’s released to her fam, she acts as though she’s a different person. They have to figure out whether she’s suffering from mental illness issues, or another reason she’s acting that way.

Starring in another horror movie, she actually plays herself in this film. While the plot revolves around a couple experiencing paranormal activity after bringing their lost nieces and nephews home, they figure out that they’re being stalked by a demon.

At the beginning of the movie, Lindsay is making a sex tape with Charlie Sheen before they both get possessed.

This one is a thriller and a drama. Lindsay plays Tara, a woman dating an LA trust-fund kid named Christian who produces horror movies. When he suspects Tara is having an affair with someone in the film he’s currently making, he becomes increasingly violent and abusive.

Making her major return to acting, Lindsay stars in Falling for Christmas alongside Chord Overstreet. She plays Sierra Belmont, a recently-engaged heiress who gets amnesia after getting into a skiing accident. Taking care of her is a ~handsome stranger~ and his daughter in a cabin. I, for one, can’t wait to see this movie!
