Colere, a Mohawk Valley based non-profit organization, has acquired the Fitness Farmacy in Little Falls, with the intention of using the property as a community center.

In a Monday, Feb. 13 announcement, Colere said the center will focus on physical fitness, nutritional education and mental health services.

“We are thrilled to bring Fitness Farmacy into the Colere family,” said Jimmy Foster, President of Colere. “This acquisition will allow us to provide much-needed resources and support to the Mohawk Valley and help us fulfill our mission of promoting social impact for all.”

What to expect at Colere community center

Colere Network is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded with the mission of cultivating community transformation in the Mohawk Valley Region. The organization is dedicated to creating accessible and inclusive spaces that provide a range of programs and services to promote physical and mental health in the region.

Paul Ososkalo, vice president of Colere, said the non-profit doesn’t plan on changing the services that Fitness Farmacy already offered, but instead adding to them. He said the community center will offer a variety of classes, workshops and events, including wrestling, youth fitness, nutrition, mental health services and more.

“It’s going to be a collaborative effort with the community, even with other not for profits locally that want to partner with us,” said Ososkalo.
