If you’re already going through Love Is Blind withdrawal after the season 4 finale, and the live reunion just won’t cut it, you’re likely craving any and all intel on the fifth installment of the popular Netflix reality dating series. To paraphrase Ned Stark, Love Is Blind season 5 is coming.
But first, a quick recap of the epic finale. All but one of the remaining couples said “I do.” In case you forgot, that means Kwame and Chelsea, Tiffany and Brett, and Zack and Bliss each successfully tied the knot. Zack and Bliss even had their first dance to Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance,” just like they said they would. (BRB, crying.)
As for Micah and Paul, well, their situation was a bit awkward. When asked to say “I do” or “I don’t” first, Micah—unsure of where Paul stood in their relationship—instead asked him to state his decision to which he said, “I don’t.” Yikes!
Now, all you have to do is wait patiently for the live reunion on April 16 at 8 p.m. ET to find out where Micah and Paul—and the rest of the season 4 couples and singles—stand today. But, in the meantime, here’s everything known about Love Is Blind season five so far—from the release date to what fans can expect to see from this new batch of singles.

Is Love Is Blind season 5 confirmed?
Yes! In March 2022, Netflix announced that there would not only be a season four of Love Is Blind, but that the reality series was also renewed for a fifth season. Similar to the previous three installments of the show, each season will feature “new singles and new cities,” said the official statement from the streaming platform.
Where does Love Is Blind season 5 take place?
The location of season 5 has yet to be announced, but fans know that the show’s production company typically chooses to cast from and film in highly-populated U.S. cities. As a refresher, season 1 was set in Atlanta, Georgia, season 2 took place in Chicago, Illinois, season 3 occurred in Dallas, Texas, and season 4 was filmed in Seattle, Washington.
With that said, viewers can expect the new season to take place anywhere from Miami to New York City.
One Reddit user on the subreddit r/LoveIsBlindOnNetflix was even bold enough to state that season 5 will take place in Houston; however, that has not been confirmed. (But…that same user did accurately predict the filming location for season 4 before Netflix announced the season premiere, so they may be onto something.)
When was season 5 filmed?
Nick Lachey, co-host of Love Is Blind with his wife Vanessa Lachey, previously told Women’s Health that the new season of the reality dating series has already been filmed. “We’ve filmed five seasons,” Nick said. “Every single one has been so different from the others, so that’s what makes it interesting.”
So while the exact dates of filming aren’t clear, fans can assume that season 5 was filmed at the same time as season 4—as was the case with seasons 2 and 3—or shortly thereafter. If that’s true, viewers can expect to get the new season on their Netflix feeds very, very soon.
What can fans expect from Love Is Blind season 5?
Like past seasons, viewers can expect to meet a brand new cast of 30 singles—15 men and 15 women—looking to try the experiment themselves. They’ll go on blind “pod” dates with their fellow contestants, hoping to make lasting connections—one of which will hopefully lead to an engagement, and, even better, marriage.
Plus, since it’s assumed that many of the new cast members have already seen previous seasons of Love Is Blind, fans can expect some more strategizing from these singles to better their chances at finding a soulmate.
Viewers can also expect some more diverse cast members and couples, according to Nick. “There is quite a bit of diversity in the casting,” the host previously told WH. “Speaking as someone who’s there [sic] from day one, and sees all the people that are there from day one, I do think that they’ve [the casting directors] done a good job of trying to cast diversely and will continue to. You’ll see that in season three and four and five.”
When will season 5 be released?
While neither Netflix nor Kinetic Content—the production company that produces Love Is Blind—have announced a season five release date, fans can speculate when the new season will premiere by taking a look back at previous seasons’ release dates. So, let’s take a peek:
Love Is Blind Season 1: February 13, 2020
Love Is Blind Season 2: February 11, 2022
Love Is Blind Season 3: October 19, 2022
Love Is Blind Season 4: March 24, 2023
Given that seasons 2 and 3 were released eight months apart from each other, viewers can likely expect Love Is Blind season 5 to premiere in the fall of 2023, presumably in either October or November. The new season should arrive soon after season four’s After the Altar special, which, according to my calculations, should be available to stream anytime between July and September 2023.
Personally, I’m hoping for a season 5 announcement during the live reunion show on April 16—similar to how The Ultimatum, another Kinetic Content production, was first announced during the Love Is Blind season two reunion. But it’s more likely that the streaming platform will announce their all-queer season of The Ultimatum then. (Stay tuned for that show, too!)
Who’s in the cast of Love Is Blind season 5?
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the contestants for season 5 have yet to be announced, but seeing as Netflix likes to announce a new season’s cast around two weeks before the series drops, viewers can expect to be introduced to this new batch of singles in early October or early November if the release date predictions above are correct.
Will there be a season 5 reunion?
Again, nothing official’s been announced yet, but considering that all other past seasons have had a reunion episode, it’s safe to assume that the answer is yes.
The season 4 reunion episode of Love Is Blind marks the first time ever the series’ reunion is being streamed live. If well-received, fans can likely expect a live reunion episode of Love Is Blind season 5, too.
Are there more Love Is Blind seasons in the works?
Netflix and Kinetic Content have yet to comment on the future of Love Is Blind after season 5. But, because plenty of steps need to be taken before a show finally lands on your television (or laptop) screen—ahem, casting and filming—there’s plenty of time to do some digging and form predictions using context clues.
Thanks to social media, anyone with an Instagram account may be aware that Love Is Blind is currently casting in these major U.S. cities:
- Washington, D.C.
- Minneapolis, Minnesota
- Denver, Colorado
And in September 2022, Mary Myers, a casting producer for the show, announced via Instagram that the dating series is also casting in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tampa, Florida, and Detroit, Michigan. So, yes, it’s safe to assume that more seasons of the juggernaut reality dating series are indeed in the works.
What’s more? In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen guided reporter Natalie Jarvey through “a soundstage some 30 miles north of Los Angeles,” which in a few days following the date of reporting, was to be “filled with singles hoping to find love through a wall on Netflix’s compulsively watchable Love Is Blind.” So perhaps a season in the Los Angeles area is in the cards? Only time will tell.
