NORMAL — Heartland Community College will hold a Health Sciences Information Night and Career Fair from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9.
This will be held on the college’s Normal campus at 1500 W. Raab Road inside the Instructional Commons Building in Room 1813.
The event will bring together college faculty and recruiters from health care facilities in the area to provide an opportunity for students and individuals interested in health sciences to explore educational and career opportunities.
Attendees can learn more about the admission process, financing college education, take lab tours, meet with faculty and network with professionals in the health care industry.
The event will cover a wide range of programs including dental assistant, emergency medical services, medical assistant, nursing, certified nursing assistant, phlebotomy, physical therapist assistant, radiography, recovery support specialist and veterinary assistant.

The event included demonstrations and lectures of traditional ironwork by visiting Japanese artisan Akira Yaegashi, flower arranging techniques, and Shibori tie-dye workshop.
