Hollywood’s latest “It” couple certainly put on a show at the 2024 Golden Globes this past weekend, and they were looking more happy and in love than ever: Selena Gomez and producer Benny Blanco hit the big event together and Sel even shared a few BTS snippets from the night on social media.

ICYMI, this is Selena’s first confirmed relationship in quite a while (although there have certainly been a long list of rumored ‘ships), so fans are understandably psyched.

From all the smooches to the supportive IG comments and that B ring, Selena and Benny’s relationship is certainly giving everyone *lots* to talk about these days. The two have stepped out together several times, at Lakers games, awards shows, and more.

So, without further ado, a full rundown of Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s dating timeline, from their first collabs to rings and more.

2015: Benny and Selena start working together on creative projects.

While Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez’s romance may seem like a bit of a whirlwind, these two have actually known each other for a while, starting back in 2015 when Selena released “Same Old Love” and “Kill ‘Em With Kindness,” songs produced by Stargate and Benny Blanco in 2015. ​​Benny and Selena also collaborated on her 2017 song, “Trust Nobody.”

2019: They worked together on one of his songs.

In 2019, Selena and Benny joined forces on his song “I Can’t Get Enough.” They even appeared in the music video together, alongside J Balvin and Tainy, who were also featured on the song.

In the video, you can spot Benny wearing a teddy bear costume, and he and Sel look seriously adorable dancing together. A little glimpse of the future perhaps?!

October 2020: He references Selena during an interview.

Benny may or may not have thrown some shade Selena’s way back in a 2020 while he was being interviewed.

Benny, who was good friends with Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, appeared on the Zach Sang Show. “Justin’s not one of those cookie-cutter pop artists,” he said. “Like you know, they’re like, ‘This is my new single, and here’s my makeup line.'”

At that point, Selena had just launched Rare Beauty, so the comment’s timing had people wondering if he was shading his future GF.

June 2023: The two start dating.

Selena and Benny haven’t dropped the receipts from their first date, but a little detective work suggests that these two likely began their romance in June of 2023.

Why? Well, in December 2023, Selena responded to an Instagram comment asking her to “stop posting pictures of her boyfriend,” referring to Benny, to which she responded, “It’s been 6 months bb. I will always defend my friends, family, and fans till the day I die,” per People.

Then, in another comment, she added that Benny “has treated me better than any human being on this planet,” calling him “the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

If that’s not confirmation of a truly strong relationship, I don’t know what is!

July 2023: Benny attends Selena’s birthday.

Benny showed up to his Selena’s 31st birthday bash, and the singer made sure to share a photo of the pair (and Paris Hilton) looking cozy at the festivities. Of note: Fans were still totally unaware of their budding romance at this point.

Here, Selena was hard launching her man, and no one even batted an eye! Benny stands right behind Selena in the photo, and she has her arm wrapped around him.

October 2023: Benny attends a Rare Beauty event.

Benny showed his support for his boo by hitting up Selena’s Rare Impact Fund Benefit event in October. He even bid on tickets to the Taylor Swift Era’s Tour, per The Independent. A good BF knows that the key to a gal’s heart is to become best friends with her best friends. You’re on to something, Benny!

December 4, 2023: Selena hints at the fact she used to have a “crush” on Benny.

A Selena fan account posted a clip of the pop star on her show, Selena + Chef, where she talks about her crush, per Cosmopolitan. (The video appears to have been taken down). “This episode was filmed months ago, so we hope things went well with Selena and her crush 😂❤️,” the fan wrote.

Selena left a winky face emoji in response, leading everyone to believe that things did, indeed, go well with her “crush.”

December 7, 2023: Selena confirms the relationship.

Well, sorta. Specifically, she responded to a fan post with the headline “Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms Relationship With Benny Blanco,” writing, “Facts.”

“He is absolutely everything in my heart,” Sel wrote another post. When a fan commented, “he cursed you, that’s not treating you well” presumably referring to the 2020 interview. Selena clapped back: “then why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end.”

December 8, 2023: Selena starts wearing a ring with a ‘B’ on it.

The star was rocking some new bling in a post on her IG stories: a ring with diamonds forming the letter B.

Selena hasn’t shared any details about the ring, but she seems to wear it a lot these days, as it has appeared several times on her own IG stories, as well as showing up in some of Benny’s snaps of his girlfriend.

The ring was designed by Jacquie Aiche, per Cosmo.

December 21, 2023: Selena talks about what she looks for in a partner.

In an interview with Vogue México y Latinoamérica Selena talked about what she thinks is important when picking a partner, but didn’t mention Benny specifically.

“Honestly, I have to start being attracted to the right kind of people, because it’s a bit of both,” she told the magazine. “It’s very difficult to find someone who can listen to you and care about you, but I know that when it happens, it will be great and you will want it to be healthy.” She shared that motherhood is “fundamental to her life’s purpose,” but that she’s not rushing toward it at the moment.

January 4, 2024: Selena and Benny have a courtside date.

These two looked truly adorable during a Los Angeles Lakers game, where they snuggled up to watch their home team take on the Miami Heat, per People. With courtside seats, photographers got a full view of their snuggly PDA. One thing’s for sure: They certainly seem to be super happy together!

Also around this time, Benny shared some super adorable pics on Instagram of Selena giggling for the camera. She’s totally glowing.

January 7, 2024: Benny and Selena attend the Golden Globes together.

While they didn’t walk the carpet together (baby steps!), they definitely had fun together all night, and Selena even posted a few BTS photos of herself and Benny to her Instagram. In one photo, Selena looks at him lovingly while they share a hug. In another, Benny kisses Selena’s neck. If that’s not a hard launch, I’m not sure what is!

And to top it all off, in an IG story from that night, Selena captioned a photo of the two of them kissing with “I won,” per Vogue.
