Nestlé Health Science in Hoboken is teaming up with boutique fitness brand Orangetheory Fitness to help fuel performance and recovery for gym-goers.
As part of a collaboration announced Jan. 9, the two introduced Nuun All Out Orange sport hydration powder, an orange-flavored mix featuring five essential electrolytes and 90% less sugar than the leading electrolyte drink mix.
The new product is now available at select Orangetheory studios, as well as on Amazon and nunnlife.com.
Like all Nuun drink mixes, the new All Out Orange flavor is gluten-free, vegan, kosher, non-GMO and packaged in on-the-go powder stick packs.
Established 20 years ago in Seattle, Nuun offers a range of clean, low-sugar effervescent tablets and powders containing minerals and vitamins for energy, relaxation and overall wellbeing.
In 2021, Nestlé Health Science, a subsidiary of the Swiss food and beverage giant, acquired Nuun for an undisclosed amount, adding the brand to its existing portfolio of active-lifestyle nutrition products, which includes Boost and Carnation Breakfast Essentials.
Aileen Stocks, president, Vitamins, Minerals, and Herbal Supplements, Nestlé Health Science, commented, “We are pumped to collaborate with Orangetheory Fitness to bring an exciting new flavor to studios across the country and help raise awareness of the importance of proactive hydration.”
“Nuun believes in starting hydrated, and we appreciate Orangetheory’s confidence in our products’ ability to deliver great-tasting hydration with an optimized electrolyte profile, so their members hit the ground running, rowing, and repping,” she added.
Founded in 2010, Florida-based Orangetheory is known for high-intensity, coach-led, 60-minute group workout sessions that emphasize endurance and strength training. The rapidly growing franchise now has over 1,500 studios nationwide, including more than three dozen in New Jersey.
Scott Brown, vice president of fitness at Orangetheory, noted the importance of “proper electrolyte formulations and effective delivery” when it comes to replenishing minerals lost through sweating, supporting muscle function and preventing dehydration-related complications.”
“In our continuous efforts to enhance our members’ performance and recovery, Nuun emerged as the perfect hydration partner,” he said.
