Whitaker Center’s Science Center Area has a new name and sponsor thanks to UPMC.

The health care provider has entered a 12-year sponsorship program with the science and arts center, with the collaboration resulting in the UPMC Science Center Area. The announcement was made at an event on Jan. 17, hosted by Whitaker Center CEO Mary Oliveira and Elizabeth Ritter, president of UPMC Harrisburg.
