ELLICOTTVILLE — Warrior Fitness & Wellness is hosting the Ellicottville Wellness Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Nannen Arboretum.
The free community event will feature vendors, a wellness market, kids’ games, a petting zoo, a dunk tank, corn hole and other adult lawn games. Kids can ride in a fire truck and tour a police vehicle from the local police department. Food trucks will be onsite, and The Jenny Lee Feed Mill of Cattaraugus will prepare a chicken barbecue.
At noon, people can enjoy an hour of the Warrior Fitness Circuit Craze for $15. The workout sessions in the outside arboretum (weather permitting) will include three different 20-minute workouts including Zumba with Casey Allen, HIIT (high-intensity interval training) with Casey Allen and Brad Poole and Yoga with Laura Solly. The Warrior Fitness Circuit Craze is great for all workout levels and free of any equipment. Only sneakers are needed.
Organizer Bradley Poole, owner of Warrior Fitness, said they are promoting the importance of physical, mental, emotional and social health. He encourages people from surrounding communities to come and enjoy the event that is geared for the whole family.
“People can expect to see a variety of vendors related to health and fitness including Runner’s Roost, Orchard Park; Go To Meals, Olean; Mountainview Massage, Ellicottville; and Rachael Territo, FNP, Ellicottville, who will be offering IV Nutrient Therapy stations and InBody scans, as well as information about women’s health and products,” he said. “We are helping to promote not just our own business, but also other local fitness and wellness-related businesses that share our vision.”
Poole said he had the idea to host a wellness fair in Ellicottville a couple of years ago. When he began talking about a fair with his trainers, Jessica Wallace, Julia Dunn and Casey Allen, they put their thoughts together and decided to give it a shot.
“We are trying to encourage people to get more involved in their wellness — to get moving and active, eat healthy and get involved in their community,” he said. “We want them to become healthier individuals who are concerned about their health and well-being.”
Poole said Warrior Fitness is partnering up with local organizations within the community including, but not limited to, the Ellicottville Fire Department, Ellicottville Little Eagles, EVGV Trail, the Ellicottville Playground and Empire Animal Rescue Society (E.A.R.S.).
Vendor spots are filling up quickly. For more information or to request a vendor application, call Poole at (716) 378-6604.
