PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Carle Health’s newly renovated OBGYN Center is increasing access to women’s healthcare in Peoria
Carle Health held an open house at the center at 5401 N. Knoxville Ave. on Thursday. It’s a one-stop shop for all your gynecological needs.
The new team that specializes in minimally invasive surgeries includes a nurse practitioner certified in sexual health and menopausal care and a midwife.
“I’m very, very proud to be offering minimally invasive gynecologic services in this area here, and that includes both laparoscopic and robotic surgeries,” Dr. Bassel Abouzeid with Carle Health Peoria said. “The main goal for us is to provide the best outcomes for our patients with the shortest recovery time.”

Renovations took about four months to complete. The center has six exam rooms, a procedure room, a sonogram room and a fetal nonstress test room.
According to Carle Health, some of the services they will offer include birth control and pregnancy planning, annual exams, minimally invasive robotic and laproscopic surgery and pelvic organ prolapse management.
The office will start seeing patients on Monday. Patients can be referred there by their primary care physician or self-refer by calling (309) 643-6206.
