If you’re trail running, you’ll need to slip into sneakers with a bit more grip for maximum stability while you log miles. The Hoka Speegoat 5 GTXs are a good place to start. The GTXs are an upgrade from the standard Speedgoat 5, adding waterproofing to the outer materials, so you can fly through even the muddiest of trails. On sale, you’ll also find the Saucony Endorphine Edges, which offer a 6mm heel drop, a built-in rocker, and a 3/4 carbon fiber plate, so you can push your pace.
For anyone hitting the road for runs, there are plenty of options in REI’s sale section. The Hoka Bondi 8s are our favorite cushioned shoes for easy runs.
