Visakhapatnam Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Gopinath Jatti on Thursday said that sports and games would ensure physical fitness among police personnel discharging their duties round the clock. Along with Vizianagaram Superintendent of Police (SP) Vakul Jindal, he formally inaugurated the 31st annual police sports meet in Vizianagaram.
Speaking to media here, he said that the events, which would continue till November 30 (Saturday), would bring out the hidden talent among the police personnel. He said that sports helped everyone understand that victory and defeat were part of life. Earlier, he reviewed the progress of cyber crimes in the district and suggested the senior officials to spread awareness about the various frauds taking place in several parts of the district.
