First Lady Jill Biden favored one of her go-to skirt suits for the White House’s first Conference on Women’s Health Research on Wednesday in Washington, D.C. The first lady showcased the coordinated look’s versatility by wearing the same ensemble this last spring.

Biden favored an icy blue, monochrome skirt suit, featuring a jacket with three-quarter-length sleeves and a slim skirt with a hemline at the knee. The ensemble also included feminine touches like a rounded collar and large buttons.

Biden continued her monochrome approach, adding pointed-toe pumps to complete her look. The first lady also wore statement earrings and a few pieces of delicate jewelry to complete her attire.

This is the exact same suit Biden previously wore while hosting Kenyan President William Ruto and his wife, Rachel Ruto, for an official state visit to the White House last May. While Biden wore the modest skirt suit during the day, she opted for a wholly fresh approach to her favorite color for the evening.

For the official White House state dinner for Kenya, Biden styled a glimmering sapphire column gown by Sergio Hudson, which featured hand-embroidered elements and embellishments such as sequins, crystals and bugle beads.

Blue has long been a tone Biden gravitates toward for official public engagements. She’s worn garments by various designers who’ve utilized shades of blue in their apparel, including Carolina Herrera, Ralph Lauren and Schiaparelli, among others.

Throughout her time as the first lady, Biden gravitated toward pieces that spoke to her own unique style sensibility without sacrificing traditional, classic elements.
