WHEN YOU THINK about David Beckham, you probably imagine a fast-paced lifestyle thanks to an immensely successful soccer career, modelling, and even a few on-screen cameos in shows like Modern Family. And you wouldn’t be wrong.
As he approaches 50, though, his life is changing. That means a little more time on the sidelines as he embraces his era of ownership of the Inter Miami soccer club, spending more time with family, and… honey farming?
We sat down with the Men’s Health cover star to get a look into his life at 50. When asked how he likes to relieve stress, Beckham noted driving his motorcycle up the highway. But he also mentioned spending time at his country home tending to his farm.
“My chickens in the countryside, being in my garden, hanging out with friends, having a pint or a glass of wine,” he says. “That’s what I love. We had the chickens, vegetable patch—all down at the country house. It’s something I’m so proud of.”
The home features a beehive that he built and now harvests honey out of. “When we go through the harvest of the honey and I sit there in my kitchen looking at it all, I get quite emotional. I turn around to my kids, looking for their respect, and they’re like, ‘Yeah, whatever, Dad.’ It’s so satisfying for me, though. So I’ll keep going.”
He even posted his beloved honey on TikTok:
Unfortunately, this Beckham honey is not for sale. But we wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a Buzz like Beckham honey line coming out soon. In the meantime, read Beckham’s full cover story here.
