WalletHub has released a ranking of all U.S. states to show the “Best & Worst States for Women.”
In order to determine results, WalletHub compared all 50 states and the District of Columbia across 25 indicators of living standards for women.
The ranking utilizes data based on median income for female workers, the quality health care for women and female homicide rates.
Louisiana ranked one of the worst states for women
Additionally, WalletHub found that blue states tend to be more women-friendly compared to red states.
On WalletHub’s list of the “Best & Worst States for Women,” Louisiana is ranked overall at number 48.
Based on WalletHub’s calculations, Louisiana is ranked number 50 for Women’s Economic & Social Well-Being Rank, ranked number 46 for Women’s Health Care & Safety Rank, and the state’s total score overall is 38.02.
