Rita Mauceri and Lois Zoppi tried Seed probiotics for different reasons, yet both found real-time benefits in reducing bloating.
For Rita, reducing menopause symptoms like bloating was of interest to her. Lois aimed to alleviate IBS symptoms and help nutrient absorption that’s hampered due to a blood disorder.
Rita explained, “I eat a lot of small meals throughout the day to keep my energy stable — I’m a grazer. Though I’m not vegetarian, a lot of what I eat is veggies and nuts, so I’ve found that I can often feel bloated, occasionally to the point of discomfort.”
She noticed her bloating disappeared after just 4 to 5 days on a single capsule to start.
Lois felt similarly.
“Seed recommends you start with just one capsule a day for a week, and then work up to two capsules a day after that. During that first week I did experience a reduction in my bloating, which was great! I found I could eat foods that would usually cause cramping and bloating without much of a reaction after.”
Lois added: “However, when going up to two capsules a day, that changed, and my symptoms got a lot worse. I went back down to one capsule a day after that. I think how you react to increasing your probiotic dose will be a very individual thing.”
While both agreed Seed is on the pricier end of probiotics, they noted some nice features.
“I also really like what the company stands for in terms of quality of ingredients and sustainability. Plus, the packaging is super appealing and user-friendly. They include a travel-size container, which is so smart and made it easy for me to travel with a week’s worth of capsules,” Rita said.
Lois added, “The bottles and sachets the probiotics came in were glass, too, meaning I can easily recycle those too. That’s an important factor for me, so I was happy there was minimal plastic in the packaging. It felt like you were getting a really well-considered and well-made package.”
