Women in the Vicksburg and Warren County community will have a unique opportunity to connect and learn more about health care issues during a women’s health after-hours event  Thursday, June 26 at 5:30 p.m., official with Merit Health River Region said this week.

Dr. Joyce Muruthi, an OB/GYN with Merit Health Medical Group, will lead the informal gathering at Merit Health River Region, 2100 US-61 North in Vicksburg.

Merit Health officials said this free event will cover essential topics related to women’s health including prenatal care, reproductive wellness, and navigating various life stages. There will also be a Q&A session.

Muruthi encourages all women, whether planning to conceive or seeking expert guidance on any women’s health topic, to join this conversation in a relaxed, after-hours atmosphere.

“We want to create a space where every woman feels empowered to ask questions and learn more about her health journey,” Muruthi said.
