NATCHEZ — The Eye Center of Natchez is proud to celebrate a significant milestone: Dr. Aaron J. Smith, M.D., has reached the 10-year mark of dedicated service in ophthalmology to the Natchez community.
A native son of Natchez, Dr. Smith is a graduate of Adams County Christian School and earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Mississippi. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree and complete his specialty training in ophthalmology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
During his residency, Dr. Smith distinguished himself as Chief Resident, a reflection of his leadership and commitment to clinical excellence.
Dr. Smith is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and specializes in the treatment of eye disease and surgery. His approach to comprehensive eye care emphasizes patient trust, comfort, and long-term eye health.
For the past decade, Dr. Smith has served patients at The Eye Center of Natchez with a steady hand, compassionate heart, and a vision rooted deeply in his hometown. Practicing alongside his father, Dr. Douglas Smith, Dr. Aaron Smith is proud to continue a family legacy of care that has become a cornerstone of eye health in the region.
Outside the exam room, Dr. Smith is a devoted husband and father of two daughters. He is also an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, traveling, and spending quality time with family. A member of Jefferson Street Methodist Church, Dr. Smith values faith, community, and the deep connections he has built in Natchez.
