“Having loved biology/human health in high school, but not being sure what exactly I would do with it, I was excited to find out that W&M has a public health concentration through the kinesiology major. In addition to having taken insightful classes with some incredible professors, one of my favorite aspects of the department is the emphasis on connection with the Williamsburg community. The department is constantly promoting opportunities for students to volunteer at local hospitals, shadow and assist with various health issues and topics.” — Ritika Thope ’24, kinesiology major with a concentration in public health and data science minor from Fairfax, VA.
