Out of all the baggy shorts we’ve tested, Abercrombie’s denim option reigns supreme. It’s not just a jean short, but a stylish pair you can throw on to go anywhere: backyard BBQs, beach bars, grocery runs, outdoor festivals—the list goes on.

For the first wear, the cotton denim fabric felt a little rigid, but it’s not a complete dealbreaker. I was still able to hop on a Citi bike, and even peddle my way across town without feeling like I was wearing cardboard. After only three wears, the short was broken in just right. At that point, it was comfy enough to bend squat down and tie my shoe without that stiff denim dig, but still structured to keep its shape.
