As health organizations anticipate impacts of President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, U.S. Rep. Raul Ruiz held a roundtable with local officials this week to discuss their concerns.

Representatives from DAP Health, Desert Healthcare District, Innercare, St. John’s Community Health and TriState Health attended the July 30 meeting at Ruiz’s Palm Desert office. Their top concerns with the tax and spending cuts bill include an increase in uninsured residents, a reduction in patients due to lack of health coverage, cuts to revenue and services offered and possible staff reductions.
