STATE COLLEGE — The Jana Marie Foundation has launched its new podcast, “Ripples of Resilience,” hosted by foundation president Marisa Vicere.
The series dives deep into practical strategies, personal stories and expert insights on mental health, resilience and navigating life’s challenges for individuals and families.
Each episode features conversations with Dr. Peter Montminy, clinical child psychologist, mindfulness teacher and parenting coach from A Mindful Village, as well as occasional guest educators and community leaders. Together, they explore topics such as fostering resilience in children, reframing mental health and supporting well-being in families and communities.
The podcast aims to equip listeners with actionable tools while destigmatizing mental health struggles and emphasizing that resilience is a skill we can all grow.
“Our mission with ‘Ripples of Resilience’ is to make mental health and resilience accessible and relatable,” says Vicere. “We want listeners to recognize that life’s challenges don’t define us — how we respond and grow through them does. Resilience isn’t something you’re born with; it’s something you can build, practice and share.”
