
The Northeast Regional Maternal Health Coalition (NRMHC), an initiative of Maternal and Family Health Services (MFHS), will host a panel discussion titled “Conversations for the Common Good: A Regional Approach to Maternal Care.”
This panel discussion will take place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 28, at WVIA, 100 WVIA Way, Pittston.
The event will be televised, and members of the community are invited to attend in person to watch the live recording of the panel discussion. The conversation will focus on maternal health challenges and opportunities across Northeast Pennsylvania.
The panel will feature distinguished leaders in maternal and women’s health, including:
• Sara Goulet, special advisor, office of the secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services;
• Dr. Amanda Flicker, chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology and the chief medical executive of the Women’s Health Service Line at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN);
• Dr. Maria Montoro Edwards, president and CEO, Maternal and Family Health Services.
The panel discussion, hosted by Tracey Matisak of WVIA, will focus on maternal health.
The NRMHC brings together healthcare providers, community organizations, and advocates to strengthen maternal health systems, reduce disparities, and improve outcomes through collaboration and education.
