MSSU Roy Blunt Health Science Innovation Center to complete ahead of schedule
JOPLIN, Mo. (Crossland Construction) — “We’re getting close to the finish line at Missouri Southern State University’s Roy Blunt Health Science Innovation Center,” Crossland Construction state as they share exciting photos of the progress.
MAP SHOWS GRASSY AREA WHERE THE NEW BUILDING RESIDES.
The new building has taken exactly two years to complete. It’s almost perfectly in the center of the campus and directly visible from East Newman Road.
“The team is currently knocking out punch list items in Area B, the Welcome Center side of the building. Over in Area A, things are really coming together with medical equipment being installed, including X-ray and CT machines, plus OR booms and lights.
Area A will be the classroom and training hub for future healthcare professionals, with simulated spaces for Operating, PICU/NICU, Critical Care, Acute Care, and Labor & Delivery. The building will also feature a 3D Print Lab, Virtual Reality Lab, Prosection Lab, and Dissection Lab to give students hands-on experience.
We were originally tracking toward a June completion, but thanks to our hard working crew, we’re now looking at an April completion date. Proud of the crew pushing this one toward the finish line and excited to see the next generation of healthcare professionals learn inside these walls!” — Crossland Construction
