The Trump administration’s fiscal cuts to the National Institutes of Health have disproportionately impacted women’s health research. An analysis by The Washington Post found the cuts led to a 31 percent drop in grants with the word “women” in it. “I think what we’ve seen from the Trump regime is just a massive devaluation of women; research is just a piece of it,” said OB/GYN physician Kristin Lyerly.
