Women’s national team players attend talk on women’s health | OneFootball

The players of the Senior Women’s National Team attended a lecture on women’s health on Monday night (1). The activity was part of the team’s training camp schedule in São Paulo ahead of the matches against the United States on the 6th and 9th.

Tathi Parmigiano, a specialist in sports gynecology, spoke about several topics, such as the relationship between injuries and the menstrual cycle, pharmacological interventions, and protocols. She also answered the players’ questions.

“There are still many questions about the health of women football players that we need to clarify. And I want you to feel comfortable having this conversation,” said Tathi Parmigiano.

Dr. Lygia Neder, the team doctor, emphasized the importance of addressing the topic with the players. “The health of women athletes is one of the pillars of our work. It is important that they understand how their own bodies function, know how to deal with the menstrual cycle in an individualized way, and have knowledge about preventive and health-related issues.”

“Health is the foundation for performance and quality of life. It is important to work with people we trust, so we resumed our partnership with Tathi, who has already been with us and will also be in Itu during the preparation period,” said coach Arthur Elias.
