Spain’s World Cup Hero Ferran Torres Shares His 4-Move Full-Body Workout

Spain forward Ferran Torres scored just one goal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup – but it was the one that mattered most.

With Spain and Argentina locked at 0-0 in the final, Torres came off the bench and struck in the 106th minute to secure a 1-0 extra-time victory, denying Argentina a second consecutive title and handing Spain their second World Cup.

‘It was the biggest moment in my life so far,’ Torres says. ‘It was amazing, and how people reacted even if they were not from our country, it surprised me.’

Torres is nicknamed ‘El Tiburón’ – Spanish for ‘The Shark’ – in reference to the mentality and resilience he has developed throughout his career.

Now a Paris Saint-Germain player following his summer move from Barcelona, Torres keeps his training relatively short and intense, using full-body sessions alongside dedicated lower-body work and running. Recovery is just as important: he says he prioritises eight to nine hours of sleep and makes regular use of the sauna.

Fresh from scoring Spain’s World Cup-winning goal, Torres joined Men’s Health to share the workout he uses to build the core and lower-body strength required at the highest level of football.
