Even if you skip the app, the built-in display shows your selected mode and a timer, though the latter is easier to read in the app. That being said, it’s nearly impossible to achieve a 100 percent clean according to the app (I usually aim for between 80 and 90) without brushing for five or more minutes, which is not recommended because it can damage enamel. If you’re a perfectionist, this will prove annoying.
In terms of design, the Series 10 is sleek and solid, and comes with a travel case that also charges the toothbrush—a major perk for frequent travellers. It charges in just three hours (significantly faster than most others on this list) and comes with four replacement heads, which should cover your first year of use if you replace them every three months, as dentists advise.
It’s undeniably expensive, but the combination of dentist-level clean, real-time coaching, and thoughtful design features makes it worth the splurge for those serious about oral hygiene.
