A teaser trailer for the final episode of The Bachelorette season 19 is packed with all kinds of drama, including a shot of co-lead Gabby Windey threatening to quit the whole thing.
Well—spoiler alert—Gabby ends up choosing Erich Schwer in the finale and the two get engaged. But, as all Bachelorette fans know, just because you get engaged to someone on the show doesn’t necessarily mean things will last. So, are these two love birds still together? Here’s what you need to know.

Gabby and Erich are still together.
Yep, the two are still together, at least according to Reality Steve, who says that things have seemed pretty easy-breezy for this couple.
“Whatever drama goes down in Mexico, it’s not like anyone else comes back for her,” Steve writes on his site. “He’s the only guy left. They work through it and are together today.”

But they might not be engaged.
Reality Steve says there’s a “possibility” that the two didn’t actually get engaged in Mexico and are still just dating, but he can’t confirm that info right now. “The main thing that I doubled checked on was were they still together and I was told they absolutely are,” he said.
Gabby seems happy with how things ended on the show.
Overall, it seems like Gabby is cool with how her journey unfolded. “We’re both really happy,” Gabby told Hollywood Life, of herself and co-lead Rachel Recchia. “I think we did everything we felt was right in the moment and we stand by everything,” she added.

Gabby also shared that she leaned on Rachel and appreciated her support. “It was so obvious how much it changed our journey in such a positive way by having a friend by your side,” she said.
“Really, you felt less alone, you felt so supported. Knowing that somebody is going through the same thing is a feeling that nobody else can really give you. It’s tumultuous and very emotional, so having that support system is just what you need.”

Erich is facing controversy after an old photo surfaced.
Gabby’s main man is currently dealing with some intense off-screen controversy after a high school yearbook photo surfaced showing him in blackface. In the photo, which has been circulating in a viral Reddit post, Erich appears in blackface and an afro wig during what looks like a high school school costume day.
Blackface has a severely fraught and racist history, as it involves depicting oneself in a way that “mocks or ridicules” Black people, according to Merriam-Webster.
Erich has apologized for the photo in a public Instagram post, but this issue is probably going to come up again during the After The Final Rose episode.
Gabby hasn’t commented publicly about the photo.
So far, Gabby has stayed quiet on Erich’s blackface photo. She’s been busy prepping for season 19 of Dancing With The Stars.
