From Parkinson’s to food science: Bayer US President talks tech advancements in health care

Most Americans know Bayer (BAYN.DE) for its over-the-counter medicines like Aleve and Claritin. But that’s not all the company does. Bayer U.S. President Sebastian Guth tells Yahoo Finance’s Anjalee Khemlani that the company just opened a new facility to focus on cell and gene therapies to help treat diseases such as Parkinson’s. Guth also weighed in on the company’s acquisition of agricultural biotechnology company Monsanto. Guth says the company is “squarely focused on innovation in a space that continues to require innovation. Feeding the world is a very, very significant task and food is a medicine.”
