Back in 2022, Joey Graziadei won over Bachelor Nation while starring as a contestant on Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette. Unfortunately, the show’s leading lady followed her heart in another direction, but fans didn’t forget about Joey. Now, it’s the tennis pro’s turn to find love on his own terms as the next star of The Bachelor.
Joey, a 28-year-old tennis instructor living in Hawaii, gets his very own season that kicks off on January 22, and there’s already a lot of buzz around the 32 contestants who are vying for his heart. In the mix: Kelsey Anderson. This Southern belle has a private Instagram account, so she just might be here for the right reasons (a.k.a. not social media clout).
So, who is Kelsey Anderson and how far does she make it with Joey? Here’s everything to know so far about the contestant.
Where is Kelsey from?
Kelsey appears to be from Louisiana, and it looks like she’s currently living in New Orleans, a city of nearly 377,000 people. NOLA is known for its rich culture, incredible southern food, and fun music. While Kelsey’s Instagram is private, she is on Facebook—and it seems like she’s all about celebrating Mardi Gras in her city.
How old is Kelsey?
Kelsey was born in 1998, which makes her 25 years old. Joey is 28, for what it’s worth. I’d say that’s the perfect age gap!
What does she do for work?
Kelsey is a project assistant at a marketing firm in New Orleans, according to her LinkedIn. She’s been at her gig since September 2022. Before that, she worked part-time as an aftercare teacher at an Episcopal school.
She went to college in Florida.
This contestant went to school at Saint Leo University, per LinkedIn, which is a private college in St. Leo, Florida. It has an impressive 14:1 student-teacher ratio, by the way! Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in project management at the school, and it looks like she also got her Associate of Arts degree in 2021, too.
Kelsey appears to be involved in charity work.
The organization is linked in her IG bio, suggesting she has some sort of connection to it. HandsOn New Orleans writes on its website that its mission is to “create and manage projects relating to school revitalization, youth recreation, neighborhood beautification, urban gardening and environmental restoration, blight reduction, and disaster management” in New Orleans.
She gets a 1-on-1 with Joey.
But the date is far from steamy. In fact, it’s a polar plunge date, per Reality Steve. No news yet on how that date goes, but it seems like it must have gone well because Kelsey sticks around.
How far does she get on The Bachelor?
If Reality Steve‘s reporting is to be believed (and he hasn’t led us astray yet!), Kelsey makes it pretty far. In fact, she makes it all the way to hometowns—her date was filmed on Oct. 26. Kelsey then went on to be in Joey’s top three, but it’s not clear at this point how her journey with Joey ended.
One thing that is clear: She doesn’t get the final rose. That one will go to the one and only Daisy Kent.
Stay tuned for more details as the season begins in January.
