ETHS Evening of Appreciation for new Health Science Center on April 16

The ETHS Foundation is proud to announce an Evening of Appreciation at Evanston Township High School, highlighting the grand opening of the much-anticipated Health Science Center, which opened to students last month. Scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, there will be a short program and a complimentary reception beginning in the Terrace and culminating with tours of the new educational center.  The Health Science Center was funded entirely by over $800,000 of private support from alumni and community partners.

The centerpiece of the evening will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Health Science Center—a cutting-edge facility made possible through the generous support of alumni and community partners. This state-of-the-art center features a simulated hospital setting with 5 patient bed set-ups and industry standard medical equipment to facilitate teaching nursing skills and patient care. Courses will be a springboard for a wide range of careers in healthcare.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the Health Science Center and learn about the certification courses and career exposure it will offer to students. From immersive lab experiences to specialized healthcare pathways, this facility represents a bold step forward in providing our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the rapidly evolving field of healthcare.

In addition to exploring the Health Science Center, guests will have the chance to visit the Literacy Lab, established in 2020 through the generous support of our donors. This innovative space underscores our commitment to providing a system of supports to students with emerging literacy needs.

Please RSVP by April 12 for the Evening of Appreciation.
