The University of Alabama’s Student Health Center provides a wide panel of health services for students right on campus, said center Director Dr. Karen Burgess.
“One thing important to remember is that the Student Health Center is just for students,” Burgess said. “It provides typical primary care services but also provides women’s health and gynecology services. It also provides dermatology, mental health and psychiatry services, as well as nutritional counseling.”
For students with prescriptions, there’s an on-site pharmacy, Burgess said, available to fill prescriptions from the center or anywhere else in the country.
