Fashion And Beauty Trends Coming In 2025, According To Experts

The fashion and beauty worlds are both making steady progress with innovation. This year, expect fashion to dip into vintage styles for inspiration, while focusing on chic, modern cuts.

Tech-driven beauty enhancements are in, so are smart beauty devices which feature personalized recommendations. Gender neutral fashion is also expected to grow this year.

From sustainable fabrics to innovative skincare technology, here is a glimpse of some insights from industry experts on what we can expect to see in 2025.

Bridget Bahl, founder of The Bar

“Capes are going to be everywhere,” said fashion expert, Bridget Bahl. “They’re a bold, dramatic addition to any outfit that make you look elevated and stylish. Boho will be everything in 2025; think ruffles, ruffles, and more ruffles, which always add a feminine, vintage-inspired touch. I also think we’ll see more patterns, but the classic ones, like polka dots and stripes. We’ll be seeing them not just in dresses or tops, but on everything, even tights.” At The Bar, Bahl and her team have already started incorporating some 2025 trends that she’s excited about, like vintage-sourced brooches, stirrup leggings, like their Anna legging, and reversible sweatshirts.”

Payton Sartain, podcast host of Note To Self

“Word on the street is boho is coming back, and I couldn’t be more thrilled,” said Payton Sartain. “I’m expecting to see a continued appreciation for western styles, think studs, leather, and edgier embellishments. Pantone’s color of the year is Mocha Mousse, so I’d also expect to see monochrome mocha outfits throughout the year.”

“As a native Texan, I’m excited to see western styles on the rise,” she said. “Many of the pieces I’ve collected over the years, like my cowboy boot collection, are on-trend, so I’m happy to embrace the closet I already have. Western styles feel like home to me.”

Yumi Kaizuka, makeup artist

“There’s a growing interest in wellness-focused beauty routines that bridge the gap between beauty and self-care,” said Kaizuka. “Techniques like facial yoga, gua sha, and head spa treatments, including my own method, will gain popularity as people embrace practices that rejuvenate both the mind and body.”

“Another rising trend is the use of tools like the Face Pointer, a pen-shaped beauty device designed to stimulate facial muscles and release facial fascia,” she said. “By targeting areas of tension such as the cheeks, eye area, and neck, the Face Pointer helps improve blood circulation, reduce asymmetry, and enhance overall facial proportions.”

Japanese-born Kaizuka is taking appointments so clients can experience this approach firsthand at her Japanese Pressure Point Head Spa sessions at Pearlita in New York City, which helps give a refreshed and lifted appearance. These holistic methods not only support physical relaxation but also promote emotional well-being, making them essential to modern beauty routines. Makeup that doubles as skincare will also gain even more traction, she notes. Expect to see makeup infused with ingredients like probiotics, peptides, and antioxidants, making it an extension of your skincare routine.

Kira Jones, founder of Cacti Wellness

“This year, we will see less filler and more facial massage,” said Kira Jones. “I think there’s going to be a shift towards the power of various beauty tools to achieve a more sculpted look. Secondly, we’ll see more beauty from the inside out, such as putting in effort for hair, skin, and overall body health. A big emphasis on long, lush hair, great skin, and toned muscles to go with the resurgence of micro minis and low-rise denim.

On her wellness platform, Cacti Wellness, Jones and her team share beauty tips, like facial massage techniques, to transform how you look and feel. “Personally, I’ve used a gua sha on my face every morning before make up for the past few years,” she said.

“It wakes me up and I love the natural lifting and tightening effect it has on my face. When it comes to embracing natural beauty and the ‘no makeup’ trends, I love the emphasis on enhancing natural features like hair, skin, and body because we should always have a wellness-first approach to beauty – it’s more effective and sustainable.”

Sophie Frost, Babington House wedding planner

“As we look ahead to 2025, the bridal fashion landscape is set to embrace a blend of tradition and innovation, offering brides a diverse array of styles to express their unique personalities,” said Sophie Frrost. “Eco-consciousness continues to influence bridal fashion, with designers incorporating sustainable materials such as organic cotton, recycled lace, and biodegradable fabrics into their creations. This shift reflects a growing commitment to environmental responsibility within the industry.”

Dramatic statement sleeves will also make an impact in wedding fashion. “From voluminous puff sleeves to elegant off-the-shoulder designs, these elements add a touch of romance and drama, allowing brides to make a bold statement,” said Frost.

Expect to see bold color choices at weddings in 2025, as well. “While classic white and ivory remain popular, an increasing number of brides are opting for gowns in vibrant hues, including blush, lavender, and even daring reds,” she adds. “This trend enables brides to showcase their individuality through color.”

Pooya Nabei, fashion photographer

“I think photography is changing, in general,” said Pooya Nabei. “With the introduction of artificial intelligence and tools like Midjourney, we are being forced to take a side, either embracing the digital or reverting back to the roots with film photography.”

“The ease of photography has made fashion photography more accessible to everyone,” he said. “Experimental photography in fashion is now more prevalent than ever. The traditional framing and vantage points are changing because of it. It is an era when we should embrace the change and start experimenting more than ever, whether in a digital format or analog.”

Gabrielle Hope Bradley, CIDESCO Aesthetician

“I foresee a more radiant you in 2025, where concentrated oxygen treatments are leading the beauty revolution,” said Gabrielle Hope Bradley. “I love our innovative Glo2Facial treatment, which harnesses the power of pure oxygen through targeted Oxfoliation therapy; think of it as an energizing ‘O2 espresso shot’ for your skin. This pioneering treatment combines intensive oxfoliation with ultrasound infusion, and lymphatic drainage, aligning perfectly with 2025’s focus on cellular-level skin enhancement.”

To maintain results at home, Bradley recommends CO2 Lift Carboxy Masks. “Carboxytherapy is like giving your skin a natural energy boost,” she said. “Think of it as your skin’s personal delivery service; bringing fresh nutrients and moisture while sweeping away toxins. It’s honestly one of the quickest ways I’ve seen to rejuvenate your skin and maintain that youthful bounce we all love for on the plane, after advanced treatments like RF microneedling, Erbium or when your skin needs that extra boost to glow.”

Sarita Tabarez, Vice President of Flagship, NeueHouse NYC

“The year 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting moment for fashion and beauty, where creativity, functionality, and wellness converge like never before,” said Sarita Tabarez. “I’m honored to champion fellow Latina trailblazers who are redefining the future of fashion.” She cites fashion designers like Electric Feathers, Carolina K, Chloé’s creative director, Chemena Kamali and Nili Lotan.

“When I have special occasions like speaking engagements or conferences, Sergio Hudson is my designer of choice,” said Tabarez. “He makes suits like no other; form-fitting, stylish, and crafted from fabrics that provide both structure and flexibility. A Sergio Hudson blazer or suit brings a bold, commanding presence, striking the ideal balance between elegance and power.”

For beauty, she uses the Biodance Real Deep Overnight Mask regularly to keep her skin glowing. “This has become an essential part of my skincare routine, helping me feel great and look fabulous,” said Tabarez. “This year is about embracing artistry and self-care, redefining how we look and feel while celebrating the beauty of self-expression and individuality. It’s a year to honor what makes us unique and find ways to boost our confidence—inside and out. Let’s focus on creativity, wellness, and the freedom to express ourselves in every aspect of our lives.”
