The University of Michigan hosted its fifth annual Women’s Health Luncheon on May 7 at The Department at Hudson’s in downtown Detroit. The event brought together medical experts, researchers, and advocates to discuss new innovations and pressing concerns in women’s health. Thomas Carballo, host of “Mojo in the Morning,” and his wife, Chelsea, were on hand to share about her recent journey with ovarian cancer. Proceeds from the event benefit the Women’s Health Innovation Fund, which supports physicians and researchers who are in the early stages of important scientific research. // Photographs by Patrick Gloria
