Season four, based on Lee Child’s Gone Tomorrow, took the Prime Video series into more overt political thriller territory than ever before, introducing government black ops and senior political figures while showing a more vulnerable side to Jack Reacher. But it never lost sight of what made the show such a hit in the first place.

Will Reacher Return for Season 5?
Yes. Prime Video officially renewed Reacher for a fifth season in May 2026, with Alan Ritchson returning as Jack Reacher.
In the meantime, fans can also stream Neagley, the spin-off series centred on Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten.

Prime Video hasn’t announced an official release date.

Which Lee Child Book Is Season 5 Based On?
Season five will adapt Make Me, the 20th novel in Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher series.
Published in 2016, the story follows Reacher as he arrives in the mysterious town of Mother’s Rest, where a chance encounter with former FBI agent Michelle Chang draws him into another dangerous investigation.
Who’s Joining the Cast?
A number of new cast members have already been confirmed.
Amanda Ip will play Michelle Chang, while Jay Baruchel joins the series as Chief Buck Bauer. Baruchel had originally been cast in season four as Jacob Merrick before leaving the production for personal reasons.
Kevin Durand has also joined the cast, alongside Ciara Bravo, who most recently appeared in Netflix’s Voicemails for Isabelle.
Alan Ritchson, of course, returns in the title role.
