
Under Sightsavers supported & initiative programme “Vidyajyoti School Eye Health”Sewa Sadan eye hospital organised a Capacity Building programme for developing Master Trainers for training school teachers for school screening. Around 40 Mobile Resource Co-ordinators, DIET teachers and school teachers were developed as Master Trainers in a training session held the other day.
The members from all the blocks of the district participated in the program.
The focus of the program was on the Visual Impairment among the School children studying in government schools & screen them for eye defects with the help of the teachers and provide them spectacles andsurgeries for children identified with cataract or any other conditions under RBSK scheme.
MTs were provided with skills to train teachers and demonstrated how they can undertake vision screening in schools. School screening kits were demonstrated & how these materials have to be utilised in schools by children so that they care for their eyes and get their eye vision screened during the screenings in schools.
This program was inaugurated by District Program Coordinator Upadhyay.
